UMC to Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Church Food Bank
UMC’s Mobile Outreach Unit and staff will provide COVID-19 vaccinations.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University Medical Center will host a community COVID-19 vaccine clinic in conjunction with the monthly food bank at Grace Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa July 13.

UMC will use its mobile outreach unit and team of nurses and resident physicians to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to those who wish to receive the vaccine from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“It is important, and we believe it is our responsibility, to provide COVID-19 vaccines in communities where access is limited,” said Dr. Richard Friend, dean of UA’s College of Community Health Sciences, which operates UMC. “The mission of our College and University Medical Center is to care for the people of West Alabama. We want to do everything we can to help keep people safe and healthy.”

UMC will provide the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to those 18 and older.

Grace Presbyterian Church is located at 113 Hargrove Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
